Serial decoder

Decode build year, factory, and production details from a serial number. Build year is the manufacture date on the instrument — it can legitimately differ from the model year printed on headstock or case.

Pattern-decoded brands: Fender, Gibson, PRS, Taylor.
Manufacturer database lookup (not yet wired): ESP, Suhr, Tom Anderson, Martin, Rickenbacker.
No published decode scheme: Boss, Chase Bliss, EarthQuaker Devices, Electro-Harmonix, Eventide, EVH, JHS, Line 6, Marshall, Mesa/Boogie, Mooer, MXR, Strymon, Vox, Walrus Audio.
